I am trained in a brief, solution focused modality to help clients achieve their goals.
I'm transparent about treatment planning and am open to questions or concerns you may have about our therapeutic relationship and my approach.
You may find the answers to your questions in the FAQ below:
-
How do I know if therapy is right for me?Therapy can be beneficial for long-term and short-term problems, and for teaching you skills to help create sustainable changes to manage your emotional and mental health. This can cover anything from processing trauma to learning time management strategies. If you're uncertain if therapy is right for you, schedule an assessment and I can help you identify your goals and let you know how therapy can help you reach them.
-
How long will therapy last? This depends on you, and the goals you have in mind. Typically, we will schedule a session every week or every other week, according to your needs. Overall, I've had some clients who completed their treatment in weeks, while other folks may take months or years to achieve their theraputic goals.

I just need a letter for a gender affirming procedure, how long will this take to receive?"If you are only looking for a letter, therapy will be focused on assessing you for readiness to undergo surgery based on the World Professional Association of Transgender Health's (WPATH) Standards of Care and how you fit within diagnostic criteria for a diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria. On average, I can provide letters within two sessions. If you are getting a procedure done in which WPATH standards of care ethically requires more of an evaluation, or there are other comorbid factors, this process could take longer. I will be transparent with you during the initial intake and let you know exactly how long I believe this process will take.

I don't have insurance, OR my insurance isn't listed above. How much is your cash-pay fee?"I charge $100/session. If this is too much for you, feel free to contact me using the form below and we can discuss sliding scale options.

Are you the right therapist for me?Maybe! I am an active therapist who helps clients reach their goals by challenging their cognitive distortions and the barriers impeding their progress. I try to be as transparent as possible about treatment, and I welcome feedback to shape the course of therapy for you. I may be a good fit, but if I'm not I can definitely provide referrals to help you find a better option. Therapy is a lot like dating, so I won't be offended if this therapeutic relationship doesn't feel like the right fit for you.

What kinds of clients do you normally see?The vast majority of my clients are LGBTQIA+. My training and background is in affirmative therapy practices and helping clients work through societal and systemic issues that typically bring marginalized individuals to therapy (such as transphobia and homophobia). I welcome any community members, but I always prioritize help to trans individuals who need required letters for medical transition steps (such as top and bottom surgery, FFS, and beginning HRT).
